KENYA REGISTERED CRITICAL CARE NURSING (KRCCN) PROGRAMME

Diploma in critical care nursing is an advanced nursing training program. The course is also known as KRCCN as certified by the nursing council of Kenya. The aim of the program is to inculcate and develop skills, knowledge and attitude in nursing professionals to take care of critically ill patients. This course focuses on the causes and management of single and multi-organ system dysfunction and the human responses to life threatening illness using the newest and most sophisticated lifesaving machines as used in; mechanical ventilation, hemodynamic support and renal dialysis. Critical care nursing leads to rewarding career with a gratifying job. Besides, the licensed critical care nurse has many other opportunities across the world and can work as a travel nurse, emergency medicine trainers and critical care unit managers.
